  • Avoid pit stop penalties
  • Get prompts when to leave the pit box
  • Get warnings before crossing the line too early
  • Log your data to SD card
  • Low power consumption: 1.5W

Features

Bluetooth

10 Hz Data Logging

VBOX Pit Lane Timer logs stint and pit lane times to SD card at 10 times per second.

Avoid pit stop penalties

You will be prompted when to leave the pit box, and warned if you are likely to cross the line too early.

Delta-V LED Indicators

Two high brightness colour LEDs give you real-time guidance on speed, and time in the pit lane, showing you when to speed up, slow down or leave the pit box.

Secondary display for the pit crew

You have the option to add a secondary display to the VBOX Pit Lane Timer (not Mini Pit Lane Timer) which mirrors the stationary countdown time and makes this information easily available to the pit crew and driver.

The OLED Pit Display (RLVBPITDSP) will keep the team informed of how much time they have left in the pit lane and exactly when to release the car with minimal time loss.

VBOX Pit Lane Timer requires firmware version 1.1.22 or later to use an OLED Pit Display, and a standard OLED display cannot be used instead of an OLED Pit Display.

Powerful Analysis Software

Circuit Tools is designed by racing drivers for racing drivers, with none of the complexity normally associated with data analysis software. The software is compatible with Windows, macOS and iOS devices, will automate many tasks and give you all the information required to improve lap times.

How does it work

Watch our pit lane timer demo video.

VBOX Pit Lane Timer has different display modes depending on where you are at the track.

ON TRACK
Stint Time
When you are out on the track, the Pit Lane Timer will show your time from pit stop to pit stop.
IN PIT LANE
Live Speed

When you enter the pit lane, the Pit Lane Timer will show your live speed value.

Pit Lane Timer recognising the pre-set pit lane entry point as it is crossed, displays the velocity until the car comes to a stop and then counts down to zero to indicate when it is time to get out again.

IN PIT BOX
Countdown Time
When you come to a stop in your pit box, the Pit Lane Timer then displays a countdown to when you should leave your pit box.

In addition, the high brightness colour LEDs change colour and intensity, giving the driver an indication whether the pit lane exit will be reached too early, too late, or exactly right. As you drive towards the pit exit, the display will show the predicted amount you will be over or under the regulated minimum pit stop time.

GO!

Leave the pit box now.

When it is time to leave the pit box, the LEDs light up GREEN for go.

SLOW DOWN!

You are 1.1 s under the minimum time.

If you are going to go under the minimum time, the LEDs will light up RED and the Pit Lane Timer will sound a continuous beep to let you know you need to slow down. The time displayed (-1.1s) is how much you will be under the minimum time if you carry on at this speed.

SPEED UP!

You are 1.7 s over the minimum time.

If you are more than 1.5 s over the minimum time, the LEDs will light up GREEN to say it is safe to go faster (if still within pit lane speed limit).
