Tyre Temp Sensors

We are excited to soon be supplying tyre temperature sensors for use with the HD2. They'll be available at the end of this month and allow you to log tyre temps throughout track sessions, so that you can make setup adjustments accordingly. See an example video below.

There are two types of sensor: 120 and 60 degree fields of view. Quote RLACS272-120 or RLACS272-60 to your dealer for price and availability.

HD2 Second Car Kit

This was a popular product for the Video VBOX Lite so we thought we'd put together the same thing for the HD2. It comprises power cable, roll-cage mounts, antenna, microphone, and a pair of cameras - just swap the actual recording unit between cars. Available now from the eStore or your local distributor - product code is RLACS274.

Mounting Options

These mounting brackets allow for fitment either to a roll bar, or a quick-release option installed onto your own metal or plastic sheet. In both cases there's protection on the inner surfaces to stop the HD2 from being scratched. Available now - the quick release mount is RLACS258, the bar mount RLACS268.

Camera Extension PoleCamera Extension Bar

If you're struggling to get the forward-facing camera in the right position to allow for a good view of the track, this extension bar should help.

It brings the camera down below the sun strip and gives you a much bigger view out through the windscreen - avoiding that "letterbox" look - and it will fit on any mount with a standard 1/4"in UNC thread.

Due in around the beginning of July - available to pre-order with product code RLACS273.

Track Map Database - New tracks added

on .

We have added new tracks to our track map database. If you run the latest version of Circuit Tools  or VBOX Video Setup software (VBOX Video HD2 owners only), you don't have to do anything. Both softwares will automatically check for updates when you are online and install the latest track database.

If you own a Video VBOX Lite, Pro or Waterproof, and are NOT using the latest Circuit Tools version, you will need to download the Track Map Database Installer. The installer will ensure that the complete track map database is available in Video VBOX Setup.

New track maps include:

Chile

  • Autodromo Leydaring
  • Autodromo Interlomas
  • Autodromo Huachalalume Chica
  • Autodromo Huachalalume Grande

Italy

  • Castelletto
  • Lombardore

Spain

  • Catalunya GP

UK

  • Silverstone Rallycross

Changes have been made to the Virginia International Raceway, United States. The start/finish line has been moved slightly.

Video Split Software released

on .

The new Video Split software enables you to easily extract a single lap from a track session file recorded by a Video VBOX or VBOX Video HD2 video, add an intro video and save it with the associated .vbo data or laps pdf file.

The software is set to detect the fastest lap, but will export any lap you wish. You can also add a comparison graph to a reference lap at the end of the video.

The software is particularly suited to applications where you are processing multiple driver sessions at a time, such as within driver experience environments. Read more.

Online HD2 Scene Wizard

on .

The VBOX Video HD2 comes with setup software that allows you to create dazzling scenes to really enhance your videos – but if you haven’t got round to using it yet and would like a different look to the graphics in your videos, instant help is at hand.

The online scene wizard consists of six sets of dials, each differently styled and with the option to include vehicle signal data, a logo, g-ball, picture-in-picture, and lap timing.

We have incorporated our complete CAN database so you can select your make and model of vehicle, and the parameters you’d like to log – either via the Bluetooth OBD module or direct connection.

Simply choose which elements you’d like to make up your scene, whether you want to log signals from the car itself, and which style you prefer, and then click to generate. You can either download the scene directly or receive an email with the download link along with CAN connection instructions.

HD2 Scene Wizard

The launch version of the scene wizard contains a limited number of scene styles but we will increase them over the coming months. If there is one particular style that you would like, please contact us and we’ll create one for you!

The wizard is a handy tool that allows you to create a good-looking scenes, but it has certain limitations and it’s not quite as good as using the HD2 setup software. If you would like some training on the VBOX Motorsport software, why not register for one of our free courses?
